Cases

Unfair policies are to be found in all sorts of policy areas; energy, external trade, migration, agriculture, industry and environment. New proposals of the European Commission and it's Member States as well as existing policies are evaluated by Fair Politics. Before an actual case study is written and published, Fair Politics analyses impact studies and interviews experts to identify the policy implications. All Fair Politics case studies bring forward concrete policy recommendations on how to change unfair policies into fair policies. Currently 11 case studies are published on this website.

We try to monitor all the developments around these case studies closely. When new developments are there, we will report on them in a newsitem. Also when a question in relation to one of these case studies has been raised by a MEP, we will monitor this. Not all case studies are constantly up to date, but we try to update them regularly, to report on which improvements have been made, or should be made if the topic is again on the political agenda.

Currently we are working on new case studies about climate change and tax evasion. And we are updating the case studies on the Fisheries Partnership Agreements and Arms trade policies. Please let us know if you would like to contribute.

Advocacy

Once a case study has been developed, often an expert meeting is organised by Fair Politics to give politicians and civil servants, civil society and local experts a voice in the debate. During such an expert meeting, the policy can be discussed, concerns can be expressed and policy recommendations can be given.
